I got this interesting package from a fan today.   


I'm off on my big trip tomorrow. New York, Berlin, Hamburg, London and Brighton over 30 days. I am sooooo excited. Still waiting for the paintings to get to Hamburg and biting my nails over it. Keep a good thought.  


Don't expect to see many posts here over the next month (though I will blog Hamburg opening details in a few days). xx KB

Stoked about seeing the LUCIO FONTANA show at GAGOSIAN in New York next week. It's supposed to be the largest North American survey of his work EVER. Can't wait.


I'll be around and about for another week but once I set sail, blog posts will be intermittent until I return at the end of June. GET IT WHILE THE GETTIN'S GOOD.

The passing of legendary BOOKER T AND THE MG'S bassist DONALD "DUCK" DUNN can't go unnoticed in these pages. Besides playing for BOOKER T,  DUNN was the house bassist at STAX records and session bassist on about a billion hit singles. R.I.P. DDD.

I've got TWO THINGS on my mind right now, NBA PLAYOFFS and trip to NEW YORK/EUROPE.

I finally forced myself to see the MARK BRADFORD show at SFMOMA yesterday. Utterly dreary. So perfectly benign and unimaginative.  Is PROCESS PAINTING what we collectively get our panties in a wad about in the year 2012?  Honestly, the visual equivalent of oatmeal. Oatmeal for a bank lobby. Mind you, I HATE oatmeal AND bank lobbies.
